Residents in Wyre are being urged to make sure they can vote in next year’s elections.
All residents should have recently received electoral registration forms through the post as part of the annual canvass.
This is to ensure the electoral register is as up-to-date as possible ahead of next year’s European Parliament elections.
Now they are being encouraged to complete their form and return it promptly to ensure they can have their say.
Garry Payne, electoral registration officer and returning officer at Wyre Council, said: “Registering to vote is quick and simple. All you have to do is update the annual canvass form with details of everyone who lives in the household and is eligible to vote, and return it to us as soon as possible. It’s your vote, don’t lose it.”
Residents who have not received a form can contact the electoral registrations office on 01253 887257 or print one off at www.aboutmyvote.co.uk
