Two men and a woman are to face a trial in connection with a pitbull terrier discovered in Preston.

David Shaun Hodgeon, 20, of Robin Street, Ribbleton, Preston, is accused of breaching a five year ban from keeping dogs that was given to him in November 2013 by having custody of a dog.

He is also accused of possessing a dangerous dog, and of selling a dangerous dog, namely a pitbull terrier, between March and November 2013.

Nathan Hodgeon, 22, of Maldon Place, Ribbleton, Preston, is accused of aiding and abetting, counselling or procuring David Hodgeon to have custody of a dog in contravention of the ban on February 19.

Sharon Hodgeon, 43, also of Maldon Place, Ribbleton, Preston, is accused of aiding and abetting, counselling or procuring David Hodgeon to have custody of a dog in contravention of the ban, on February 20 and faces a charge of possessing a dangerous dog.

All three entered not guilty pleas at Preston Magistrates Court.

They will all appear before Preston Magistrates Court on June 23, when a trial will take place.
