Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a house in Bolton-le-Sands near Carnforth.

Between Sunday, February 3, and Wednesday, February 13, somebody broke into a house on Slyne Road.

They searched the property and stole several items of small furniture, as well as several ornaments. They also stole a large number of old joinery hand tools from the garage.

Among items taken was a 6ft wooden giraffe, a gold framed mirror, a chest of drawers and several paperweights.

PC Mike O’Regan said: “There were some unusual items stolen from the house, perhaps most notably a 6ft tall wooden giraffe.

“If anybody has any information about this burglary or knows where the property has ended up then I would urge them to contact us.”

Anybody with any information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
