THREE teenagers are in police custody after an armed robbery at a Lancashire off licence.

A 16 year old boy from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

A 17 year old boy from Lostock Hall has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and a 17 year old boy from Accrington has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

All three are in custody.

The arrests follow an incident at around 4pm on Tuesday when police were called to Booze Stop on Watkin Lane in Lostock Hall.

A ​suspect had entered the store with what was believed to be a small handgun.
