Teachers should have more powers says MP
Teachers should have more powers to deal with violent pupils, Wyre MP Ben Wallace has said.
He believes teachers should be able to search pupils and ban anything which could be used to damage property.
Mr Wallace said: "Teachers must have greater power to deal with violence and to remove disruptive pupils."
Police have been called into UK schools 1,000 times in two years to deal with arsons.
