A taxi driver was injured by a car that failed to stop in Preston on Saturday night.
The incident took place about 8pm at the junction of the A6 Garstang Road and Blackpool road, when the black Peugeot Partner taxi was involved in a collision with a metallic royal blue car.
The blue car then collided with railings before fleeing the scene and heading towards Deepdale.
The taxi driver, a local 60-year-old man, was badly shaken up and was treated at Royal Preston hospital for back, neck and arm injuries.
PC Matt Davidson from Preston Roads Policing Unit said: “I am appealing to anyone who might have seen the collision, or the blue car leaving the scene to contact me.
“This collision has taken place at a busy junction and I’m sure there would have been many people stopped waiting at the lights that will have seen what happened.
“I’d also appeal to anyone who may know the current whereabouts of this car and to any car repair garages who thinks they may have been instructed to carry out repairs to this car, which will have damage to both sides.
“Unfortunately the taxi driver has had to take his own car off the road for repairs which will result in a loss of earnings.”
