Man struck by vehicle on road

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 29-year-old man was hit by a vehicle as he walked home in Burscough yesterday. A couple stopped to help the man, knocked down on Course Lane at 2am. He suffered whiplash. The vehicle did not stop. Call police on 101.

Scooter incident

An elderly woman was involved in a collision with a scooter on Altham Road in Morecambe at about 6pm on Saturday. Fire crews helped paramedics transfer her to a longboard and to hospital.

Rubbish fire

Fire crews tackled a rubbish fire at Samuel Street in Preston at 3.10pm on Saturday. It was thought to have been started deliberately.

Children in car

Fire crews were called to release children from a car after the doors had locked at 1.20pm on Saturday at Roman Way, Preston.
