Skating queen's joy at Britain squad call-up
A Lancashire woman has been chosen to take part in an international figure skating competition.
Stacey Kemp, 21, from Clayton-le-Woods, has been included in the Great Britain squad for the 100th ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2010.
She will be part of the National Ice Skating Association's (NISA) eight-strong squad set to compete at the Palavela rink in Torino, Italy, between March 22 and 28.
Stacey and her skating partner of six years, David King, from Carlisle, finished 16th in the recent Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
Keith Horton, chief executive of NISA, said: "Vancouver was a great experience for our skaters and we hope they can build on this with some impressive performances in Torino."
