Sizzling BBQ fun raises £1,400 for cancer charity

A sizzling summer BBQ event has raised cash for charity.

Normoss Round Table Lodge hosted the fundraiser in aid of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation and raised £1,400 for the charity.

It took place at the Lodge’s Cleveleys base and even the rain didn’t dampen people’s spirits as they enjoyed an action packed day of fun, all in aid of the local cancer charity.

Normoss Round Table are long standing supporters of Rosemere, and the money raised by this event takes the total raised by the lodge over the past nine years to a staggering £11,500.

Event organiser, Ian Benson, said:“Over the years several members of Normoss have been beneficiaries of the care Rosemere provides and the lodge’s fundraising is payback for that extra special care.

“It was a fantastic day and we’re pleased that we managed to raise so much money for such a great cause.”

Laura Stephenson, area fundraising coordinator at Rosemere Cancer Foundation, said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to Normoss Round Table for all their support over the past few years.

“All the members go the extra mile to raise money for Rosemere and this was an exceptionally fun event for local families to enjoy.”
