Seven people have been injured after a minibus overturned on a motorway.
The accident happened westbound on the M55, near junction four at Blackpool, at 4.10pm on Friday.
A Lancashire police spokesman said the minibus had been transporting disabled adults from a care home and one had been seriously injured and airlifted to hospital. Six others were taken by land ambulance to Royal Preston Hospital with less serious injuries.
It had initially been reported those hurt were children.
No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.
The motorway was closed between junction four and junction three at Kirkham to allow the North West Air Ambulance to land. It was expected to reopen by 6pm.
