A SERIAL pervert is back behind bars after sexually assaulting a teenager he had befriended.
Peter Ollerton, 60, has convictions for sex offences dating back to the 1970s including flashing, indecent assault and soliciting for immoral purposes.
Now he faces a further 40 months in prison after attacking the boy when he came to help Ollerton at his home.
The boy ran from the house and was crying and shaking when he told his parents what had happened, the court heard.
Preston Crown Court heard Ollerton, of Glover Road, Coppull, who has a number of health problems and mobility difficulties, has been offending sexually for over 35 years.
He pleaded guilty to indecent assault on the day he was due to stand trial.
Recorder Philip Grundy, sentencing, said: “They took pity on you. They took sympathy for you.
“What we have is somebody who abused somebody’s friendship and trust for his own sexual gratification. A sense of community was being extended to you and you took advantage of it for your own deviant purposes.
“You are a hopeless case because the pre-sentence report says that at plenty of opportunities to engage with sexual offences programs or groups you have failed to do so.
“Your history of sexual offences shows that you are a significant risk of serious harm, not so much the physical harm but the psychological harm that goes with it.”
