Residents in the Fylde are being warned to be on their guard against substandard workmen after an elderly man was targeted in the area.
The 87-year-old victim was originally approached by two men at his home September who said he needed some work doing on his house. The man agreed to the work and paid them £400.
At 12.10pm on Tuesday, January 22, two men in a white van visited the man’s house again and charged him £300 for clearing his gutters – which took them 15 minutes.
