A man who stole a North Face coat has been given an eight-week suspended prison sentence.
Steven Porter, 33, of Church Street, Preston, admitted stealing the £150 coat from Cotswold Outdoors in Preston on September 23.
In doing so he breached a suspended sentence of 12 weeks, suspended for a year, which was imposed on August 8 for theft.
Preston Magistrates’ Court decided to extend the old suspended sentence period to 15 months, and give him an additional suspended sentence of eight weeks, suspended for 13 months.
He was also told to pay an £80 victim surcharge.
