Move over Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry, budding bakers are being challenged to put their oven gloves on and help raise money this weekend for the Derian House Children’s Hospice.
The event is taking place at Hobbycraft on Preston’s Deepdale Retail Park on Saturday and Sunday. Hobbycraft customers are being challenged to bake, buy, ice and eat and have fun in aid of a great cause.
The bake off will have a butterfly theme in recognition of Together for Short Lives, Hobbycraft’s charity of the year which raises much-needed cash for the country’s 49 children’s hospice services.
Manager Matthew Hedges, said: “The Great Butterfly Bake-off is going to whip up some interest for sure as we celebrate two days of baking for our local children’s hospice. Customers can sample some delicious cakes or even join in with a baking demonstration.”
