Rail union leader Bob Crow will be the main speaker at the Preston launch of the North West NO2EU campaign for the 2104 European Elections today.
b The general secretary of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) workers union is set to speak at the New Meadow Street Labour Club in North Road from 12pm to 4pm.
Among other speakers will be Tony Mulhearn, a former Liverpool City councillor from the Socialist Party, and independent Preston councillor Mike Lavalette, who represents the city’s Town Centre ward.
The main themes will be the NO2EU 2014 European election campaign in the North West region and the fight against austerity across Europe.
No2EU is a trade union-backed campaign standing in the 2014 European elections, fighting for workers’ rights, exiting the EU on the basis of socialist policies and keeping Britain out of the Eurozone.
