A MAN who stole purses from two women in Preston contents has been given a 16 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months.
Thomas William Green, 27, of Eldon Street, Plungington, Preston, appeared before Preston Magistrates Court which heard he was a “persistent offender with extensive record”.
The court heard on January 21 he stole a purse containing £415 and three days later stole a purse from an Ingol woman
He must undergo 12 months supervision and a three month curfew. He must also pay £300 and £200 compensation to his victims.
