A pensioner has been charged with a string of 32 sex offences against two young girls dating back to the 1970s.
Michael Fitzgerald, 71, of Miller Road, Ribbleton, Preston, will appear at Preston Crown Court on September 10 for a hearing.
The alleged victims cannot be identified for legal reasons.
He is accused of six counts of indecently assaulting the first girl and five of committing gross indecency with her while she was under the ages of 14 and 16 years old.
The offences date back to a period between 1974 and 1979.
He is also accused of eight counts of indecently assaulting a second girl and eight counts of committing gross indecency with her, while she was under 16 years old.
Those allegations date back to a period between 1972 and 1980.
He was given conditional bail until the hearing.
