Police have launched an operation to tackle motorcycle nuisance in the Brockholes area of Preston.
Officers from the Fulwood neighbourhood policing team will be working alongside Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service to address concerns raised by residents about the anti-social use of motorcycles as well as fires that have been started in the area, causing distress to the birds and other wildlife.
Sgt Michael Sampson said: “The inconsiderate actions of a small minority are causing significant nuisance in the area, harming wildlife and ruining the area for the majority.
“Bikers who ride around Preston in a dangerous and anti-social manner risk having their bike seized – or crushed – under police powers.”
Anyone who wishes to ride their bike on the roads must also make sure their vehicle is registered, taxed and has a valid MOT certificate.
