Police are appealing for witnesses after a 32-year-old woman was sexually assaulted.
She was approached by a man from behind who grabbed her bottom before apologising saying he thought she was someone else.
The man then continued to follow the woman, who lives locally, and grabbed her again on Selkirk Drive.
Det Sgt Richard Horton from South Ribble CID said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward and contact the police.
“The victim has been left shocked by what has happened and we need to find the man responsible.
“If anyone has any information then I would urge them to get in touch.”
The attacker is described as being white, in his 30s and 5ft 8in with a medium build and short brown hair.
He was wearing a burgundy padded sleeveless top with a navy blue long-sleeved coloured top underneath and navy blue jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call South Ribble CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
