Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw joined the fight against poachers.
Clive joined officers out on patrol in the Ribble Valley on Wednesday night as they proved their commitment to tackling the criminals that are blighting the county’s rural communities.
The aim of the operation in Clitheroe was to deter poachers and reassure vulnerable residents living and working in areas affected by rural crime across the Ribble Valley.
The Commissioner said: “I know the devastating impact poaching on rural crime can have on people’s livelihoods in Lancashire, and it is something I am committed to addressing.
“I want those living and working in our rural communities to feel safe and secure, and to be able live without fear of the impact crime could have on their businesses.
“Operations such as the one run by Lancashire Constabulary are absolutely vital and show criminals who travel into and around Lancashire to commit this type of crime that the force is targeting them.”
