A teenager who collapsed and died on his way to work will be remembered by his beloved football club tomorrow night.
Jordan Grant, 17, fell unconscious and died on Saturday February 4 outside his home on Dunnock Lane, Cottam, Preston.
His dad John and paramedics battled to save him but he couldn’t be revived.
The popular Cardinal Newman College student was a huge Preston North End fan and had dreams of being a sports journalist.
Fans have already organised a minute’s applause to remember Jordan after 17 minutes of tomorrow’s League One match against Hartlepool United at Deepdale.
Now, Preston North End have announced details of their own tribute to him after speaking to his parents.
A tribute will be read out at 7.35pm - 10 minutes before kick off - over the PA system, while a picture of him will be displayed on the big screen on the Bill Shankly Kop.
One of his favourite songs will then be played out prior to the teams entering the pitch.
A Preston North End spokesman said: “We are hoping the tribute prior to the game will be a fitting tribute to him where the club and fans will show their respects to Jordan.”
A similar minute’s applause was held for Katy Holmes, 10, during PNE’s last home game against Leyton Orient on January 21.
