Detailed plans for more than 60 new homes in a Preston village have been approved by councillors.
Preston Council’s planning committee agreed proposals for the appearance, landscaping, layout and scale of 62 homes in Barton.
Outline permission was granted on appeal last year, and reserved matters have now been agreed for the land off Forest Grove.
The plans, from Rowland Homes Ltd, are for a mix of two, three and four-bedroomed houses, and also 22 affordable homes.
Proposals include a village green area, a woodland trail, a public footpath and a children’s play area.
Within the layout, the detailed designs provide for 40 detached homes, 16 semi-detached homes and six houses in terraces of three.
The plans were approved, subject to conditions.
