Police want to speak to this man about an attack on a 73 year old on Friargate on Janaury 6

Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly man was punched to the ground in Preston city centre.

The 73-year-old man was walking along Friargate when a man punched him outside The Money Shop in an unprovoked attack. He was not badly hurt but was left shaken by the attack, at 4pm on January 6.

PC Mark Robinson said they wanted to speak to a man captured on CCTV. Witnesses can ring police on 101.
