Lancashire County Council’s countryside rangers are waiting to welcome families to the outdoors with a programme of events lined up for Easter.
There are birds of prey at Beacon Fell, near Preston. And at Spring Wood, near Whalley, there is the chance to help create a bonfire to help the rangers protect the woodland by getting rid of infected Rododendron.
County Coun Marcus Johnstone, cabinet member for environment, planning, and cultural services, said: “Spring is a great time to visit Lancashire’s glorious countryside and our events programme means there’s no excuse to stay at home.
“Numbers are limited for some events so to avoid disappointment please check our website and book ahead if you need to.”
Most events are free but there may be a small charge at some events and there is a £1 charge for parking in some car parks.
