RUSH hour traffic has been brought to a standstill after a crash involving a car and a lorry.
Police were called at 7.15am after reports of a collision between a flatbed HGV and a silver Audi, northbound between junctions 30 and 31 of the M6, near the Tickled Trout.
Witnesses reported that the car was facing the wrong way in the carriageway, and the lorry came to a holt on the hard shoulder.
It is not known if the occupants of either vehicle have been injured.
A rolling road block has been put in place while emergency services clear the area.
