A man was rescued just before his yacht capsized off the coast of Lytham.
The Coastguard received a mayday call at 8.30pm on Friday and a search and rescue operation was launched.
Lifeboats from Blackpool and Lytham were sent to search for the man who was found in his yacht on Salters Bank, south of St Annes.
A search and rescue helicopter from RAF Valley and the Southport lifeboat were also called.
The man, who was suffering from hypothermia, was taken back ashore where an ambulance was waiting.
