Man rescued from fire

Fire-fighters rescued a man from a fire in Chorley.

Crews from Chorley, Bamber Bridge and Leyland were called to a flat on Guernsey Avenue, Buckshaw Village, at 5.38am on Sunday.

Fire-fighters entered the ground floor flat and rescued a 30-year-old man who had fallen asleep after putting a pan of food on the hob.

The pan and the food were destroyed by the fire and there was light smoke damage in the flat.

The man wasn’t suffering any injuries and wasn’t take to hospital.
