Man quizzed over stabbing

Crime news

Crime news

A man is being quizzed by police after a woman was found stabbed at her Lancashire home.

A Lancashire Police spokesman confirmed they had arrested a 51-year-old man from the Preston area on Tuesday night on suspicion of wounding and drink driving.

On Thursday, they confirmed the man was still being questioned by officers.

It follows a call to police and paramedics an address on Low Croft, Woodplumpton, where they found a 52-year-old woman with injuries to her neck and a number of injuries to her arm.

The spokesman said: “The two parties are understood to be known to one another.”

She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where she is continuing to recover from her injuries.

Officers were seen searching an area around the Marriott Hotel in Broughton on Thursday.
