CCTV images of two men wanted in connection with a serious assault in Morecambe

A man suffered a serious brain injury after he was punched in Morecambe.

Police have released CCTV images of two men they need to trace in connection with the assault in Morecambe town centre.

The offence took place near to a cash machine on Pedder Street when the 35 year old victim has been punched once following an altercation, causing him to fall to the floor and sustain a serious brain injury.

It happened on October 26 at 12.30am.

Sergeant James Martin said: “I would urge these men or anybody with any information about who they are to contact Lancaster CID as a matter of urgency.

“Fortunately the victim is now out of hospital and recovering at home, but he has long-term recovery injuries.”

The first man is described as being a large build and wearing a black t-shirt. The second man is a medium build wearing a horizontally stripped t-shirt.
