A man who beat a woman and smashed a window at her home has been sentenced to 120 hours of unpaid work.
Paul Hennerley, 24, of Hedgerows Road, Leyland, admitted carrying out the assault on his victim on November 2 last year, after originally denying the offence.
He also pleaded guilty to destroying a double glazed window belonging to the woman on the same date.
South Ribble Magistrates’ Court gave Hennerley a 12-month community order and said he must attend appointments with a probation officer for the next year.
Magistrates ordered him to pay his victim £25 in compensation for the attack and £125 for the window. They also told him to pay £50 costs, but did not impose a victim surcharge due to his limited means.
