Man found in ditch named
The body of a man has been found in a ditch in a Lancashire village.
The grim discovery, in Scorton near Lancaster, was reported to police at around 12.45pm on Sunday.
Underwater rescue teams were brought in to recover the body.
It has been identified as that of 26-year-old David Thomson, who had been missing from his home in Poulton since January 16.
Police are currently treating Mr Thomson's death as unexplained. A post mortem is due to be carried out later on Monday.
