A man threw food around a restaurant and smashed glass in the door with his head after attending a reunion dinner.
John Eason, 44,of Longbrook Avenue, Bamber Bridge,near Preston, pleaded guilty to causing damage. He was given an 18 months conditional discharge and ordered to pay compensation of £100 plus £85 costs with £15 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
Prosecutor, Pam Smith, said on June 30 at 12.20am Eason went into the Italian Star restaurant, Redbank Road, Blackpool and ordered food.
He became abusive and threw food before punching and damaging a glass panel below the counter. He then headbutted glass in the door.
Gary McAnulty, defending, said: “It was an unfortunate end to what should have been a good night.”
