Commuters faced major traffic disruption after flooding hit parts of Lancashire.
Emergency services were called just after 5pm on Thursday after a “massive deluge” of rain overwhelmed the drains around Carnforth.
Police attended along with fire crews, who were working to pump water into the canal.
Roads affected included the A6, Lancaster Road, as well as country lanes to Bolton-le-Sands.
Temporary traffic lights were in place and motorists faced major tailbacks.
