M-way crash sparks tailbacks

Latest news from the Lancashire Evening Post

Latest news from the Lancashire Evening Post

A five car crash has sparked tailbacks on a busy Lancashire motorway.

The incident happened just north of Charnock Richard services on the northbound M6 at around 7.50am on Friday.

The third lane of the motorway has been closed.

It is not yet known if there are any injuries.

Matrix signs on the carriageway are set to 40mph. The Highways Agency says extra travel time is currently around 20 minutes and there is congestion back to junction 27 at Standish.
