Learner drivers have sparked controversy among residents in a Preston neighbourhood who fear their repeated manoeuvres on roads in the area could cause an accident there.
Residents expressed concerns regarding road safety to police at a recent Police and Communities Together (PACT) meeting for the Cadley and Greyfriars area of Fulwood, Preston.
It comes as an increasing number of learner drivers and instructors have been seen roads including Inglehead and The Turnpike to practice their driving manoeuvres such as reverse parking and three point turns, sparking concerns from neighbours.
It is understood enquiries are being made with the Highways Department.
Concerns were also raised about garage and shed break-ins and vehicle thefts in the area.
Police are to carry out high visibility patrols and plain clothes operations to tackle them.
