Mayor of South Ribble Councillor Graham Walton is inviting people to join him for his Civic Sunday parade and service.

Representatives from local organisations and community groups are invited to take part in the short walk to Our Lady and St Gerard’s Church in Lostock Hall, for a special morning service at 10am on Sunday, July 6.

Those who wish to join the procession should meet at the Parochial Centre, Brownedge Road, no later than 9.15am for a 9.35am departure.

The group will parade to the church for the morning service, which will be followed by refreshments at the Church Hall with both the Mayor and Mayoress. There will be no return parade.

Coun Walton said he is “delighted” to be leading the annual event with his wife, and is hoping for fine weather so more people turn out

Anyone who wishes to attend is asked to get in touch with the Mayor’s office by calling 01772 625301.
