Unpaid work order
A man has been sentenced to 100 hours unpaid work for his role in producing cannabis. Carl Merrick Bradshaw, 50, of Albert Road, Preston, admitted being concerned in the production of cannabis. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 costs. Magistrates ordered plants and equipment to be forfeited.

Speeder fined by magistrates
A 28-year-old man was ordered to pay a total of £145 by magistrates in Preston after he pleaded guilty to breaking the 30mph speed limit on Blackpool Road, Lea.
Carl Hague, of Rylands Crescent, Ashton,, was fined £80.ordered to pay £50 costs and £15 victim surcharge.
Fined for drunk and disorderly
A man was fined £250 for being drunk and disorderly at Royal Preston Hospital. Dean Egan, 24, of Wyresdale Crescent pleaded guilty at Preston Magistrates’ Court. His plea was taken into account. He was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
£200 fine for no seat belt
A man was fined £200 for driving without wearing a seat belt. Mark Anthony O’Shea, 28, of Miller Road, Preston, was found guilty at Preston Magistrates’ Court. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
