Harassment charge over pictures

A man has appeared in court over allegations he harassed a couple. Paul Dugdale, 56, of Market Street, Wesham, near Preston is accused of harassing the couple by taking photos of their property. The offence relates to a time between November and December last year. He was given conditional bail until February 19, when he will reappear at Preston Magistrates Court. The court imposed bail conditions not to contact them, photograph their property, or go within 100 metres of their property except to feed his animals and maintain his smallholding.

Man fined for smashed taxi mirror

A man who smashed a taxi cab wing mirror has been fined £110 by magistrates. Joshua Jalaat Salumi, 19, of Wildman Street, Preston, appeared before Preston Magistrates Court where he pleaded guilty to criminal damage. The court heard Salumi damaged the wing mirror in Preston on December 16. Salumi must pay the cabbie £100 in compensation, with a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
