Man fined for door damage

A man has been hit with a fine for damaging a car and the door of a home. Daniel Walker, 37, of Sandringham Avenue, Leyland, was fined £350 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £35 after he admitted the offence at Chorley Magistrates’ Court. He must also pay £85 court costs.

Road ban for drink driver

A man has been disqualified from driving for 18 months after admitting drink driving. Michael Calvey, 40, of Lorraine Avenue, Fulwood, pleaded guilty to driving with 72 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £110, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, and court costs of £85.

Court fine for road speeder

A woman has been fined for speeding. Lisa Chadwick, 40, of Broadfield Avenue, Leyland, admitted speeding on Woodend Road in Clayton Green. She was fined £45 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15. She was also given three points on her licence.

Speeding Audi driver is fined

A man has been fined £450 after he was caught speeding in an Audi. Amir Musa, 23, of Skeffington Road, Deepdale, Preston, failed to attend court and was proved guilty in his absence of breaking the 30mph speed limit in Inskip on June 3 last year. Magistrates handed Musa six penalty points and ordered him to pay £85 court costs.
