Uninsured bike rider punished
A man caught riding an uninsured Lexmoto motorcycle has been told to pay out more than £150. Gary Pennington, 22, of New Rough Hey, Ingol, Preston, pleaded guilty to the offence in Tag Lane, Ingol, on May 5 this year. Preston Magistrates’ Court fined him £90, told him to pay £50 court costs and a victim surcharge of £15 and handed him six penalty points.
Fine for using mobile phone
A 34-year-old man caught using a hand-held mobile phone while driving has been fined £115. Marcin Wrobel, of Threefields, Ingol, Preston, pleaded guilty to the offence when driving a Vauxhall Vectra in London Road, Preston, on April 13. Preston Magistrates’ Court also told Wrobel to pay £50 court costs and endorsed his driving licence with three penalty points.
