Man is fined for being drunk

A 28-year-old man from Longridge was fined for drunk and disorderly behaviour following an incident at an address on Preston Road, Longridge. It happened at approximately 1am on Monday, August 27. Police issued him with a fixed penalty notice for the incident.

Fined for not providing information

A 29-year-old man has been fined £600 after he failed to tell police the name of the driver of a Red Volvo. Jakub Kowalski, of Halsbury Street, Frenchwood, Preston, was found guilty in his absence at South Ribble Magistrates’ Court of not providing information to help identify a motorist. The court heard that the unknown driver was allegedly guilty of committing a road offence in Samlesbury on March 11 this year. Magistrates fined Kowalski and also decided to impose eight penalty points on his driving licence.
