Driver fined for no insurance
A motorist caught driving a Ford car while uninsured has been fined £300. Gillian Bevan, 44, of Liverpool Road, Penwortham, admitted committing the offence in Hennel Lane, Walton-le-Dale, near Preston, on June 20 last year. Magistrates also handed Bevan six penalty points.
Woman is told to keep peace
A woman has been ordered to keep the peace for the next six months. Verity Southworth, 33, of Downham Road, Leyland, admitted a breach of the peace in Leyland on December 26 last year. Magistrates bound Southworth over in the sum of £100.
Man in order for booze theft
A man has been handed a community order for stealing bottles of alcohol. James Delaney, of Hall Road, Penwortham, was handed a four-week curfew order when he appeared at Chorley Magistrates’ Court after admitting stealing the alcohol from Morrisons. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and court costs of £80.
