Fined for not giving name

A motorist who failed to tell police the name of a driver has been fined £600. David Stokes, 28, of Blackpool Road, Ashton, Preston, was proved guilty in his absence of not identifying the driver of a Vauxhall Corsa, suspected of an offence in Blackburn on June 10, 2012. South Ribble Magistrates’ Court also handed Stokes six penalty points and told him to pay £85 court costs.

Woman beater back in court

A man who broke a community order given to him after he beat up a woman has been handed a two-year conditional discharge. Daniel Creedon, 27, of Tunley Holme, in Clayton Brook, near Preston, admitted failing to meet a probation officer on two occasions. The assault occurred in March 2011.
