Two people featured in a Lancashire Evening Post appeal for festive fugitives have been arrested.

But officers are still appealing for information about six other offenders who have been on the run for several months and are wanted in connection with a number of different offences.

Some have been wanted for as long as six months.

Police are searching for Christopher James Lowe, 24, who previously lived in Preston, and who breached a community order he was given for assaulting somebody and a warrant was issued for his arrest in July.

Also being hunted is Wayne Alan Smith, 26, who has been wanted since August 2012.

He was last known to be living in Penwortham and is wanted for the theft of £80 cash.

Thomas James Hayden, 29, has been wanted since November 2012 for failing to comply with a community order.

Also wanted are Thomas Lynch, 24, who flouted a court order, and Ian Blakey, 27, formerly of Frenchwood Avenue, Preston, who is wanted for kidnap and aggravated burglary.

In addition, police in Chorley are continuing to appeal for information about the whereabouts of Shelley Carcel, also known as Shelley Watson, 33, who has been wanted since September 2012 wanted for stealing a car.

Officers are hoping readers will recognise the criminals and come forward with information about their whereabouts. Anyone with information can call police on 101.
