Around 1,300 homes in Broadgate, Preston were hit by a power cut on Sunday.
The power went off at 4.30pm and was thought to be because of a cable fault.
There was a delay in turning the power back on after Electricity North West received reports of youths jumping on substation roofs in the area.
But a spokesman said that power was expected to be restored by 6.15pm
