An ‘unloved’ eyesore has been turned into five new bungalows.
The homes have been built on a former garage site by Adactus Housing Association, at Acresfield, in Adlington.
Coun Terry Brown, Chorley Council’s executive member for homes and business, said: “This scheme has transformed what was an unloved and unused garage site into a small but select development. The quality of the bungalows is apparent from both how the scheme looks and the very positive feedback from residents. Developments such as these are vital as they not only get rid of an eyesore and so improve the local area, but they are ideal for people looking to downsize, because it frees up larger properties for families.”
The bungalows were built at a cost of £580,000 and have been let to older people moving from larger properties in Adlington and Chorley. Chorley Community Housing will manage the homes on behalf of Adactus.
