Flooding warnings are in place across the county

 

Flood warnings were in place for parts of Lancashire on Saturday as the Environment Agency warned of high winds and high tides.

Warnings - meaning flooding is expected - were issued for the Ribble estuary at Lower Penwortham, and also parts of the River Lune at Lancaster and Halton.

The coastline was also subject to the warnings, at areas including north Morecambe Bay, Overton and Thurnham.

Flood alerts - meaning flooding is possible - were issued for parts of the Morecambe Bay coast, as well as the Ribble estuary and the Lune estuary.
