A woman has been charged in connection with a serious blaze at a flat in Ingol, Preston, which allegedly caused £19,500 damage.
Claire Bentley, 38, of Barry Avenue, Ingol, Preston, is accused arson with intent to endanger life and arson intending to cause damage.
She was charged following a fire on September 10 at a Community Gateway property which was severely damaged by smoke and heat.
Firefighters, who were called at around 4pm, found a first floor flat ablaze. The flat was heavily smoke logged.
Crews searched the property and a woman was taken to hospital.
At the time of the blaze crews from Fulwood fire station were sent out.
They used four breathing apparatus were used, a hose reel, and a ventilation unit.
Bentley is expected to appear for trial at Preston Crown Court and a preliminary court hearing will be held on November 5.
She was remanded into custody by Preston Magistrates Court.
