FIRE crews were tackling a blaze in a derelict building on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a property on Back Ashby Street in Chorley at about 2.20pm.

The first floor of the building was described as “well alight”, and four fire engines were at the scene.

The blaze was tackled by four fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus, and three hose reels.
