Fine for drunk man
A man called police officers rude names after being seen among a group who were being aggressive in Blackpool.
Mohammed Baig, 24, of New Hall Lane, Preston, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and possession of cocaine.
He was fined £100 with £35 costs and ordered to pay the £15 victims’ surcharge at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
On August 24 at 3.40am police in Queens Street saw Baig among a group of men acting aggressively. He was arrested and a small amount of cocaine was found in his possession. Baig said a group of lads had tried to attack and hurt him and his mate. He became angry because police approached him. He added that, hopefully, he was going to give up taking cocaine.
